BlackTip: Dive Xtras Newest Dive Scooter!

The Blacktip dive scooter is now available in three models, The small and lightweight TRAVEL scooter, The neutral and trim TECH scooter and the EXPLORATION scooter for those who push the limits.

The original Blacktip was designed to be a low cost recreational scooter, lightweight and work with any and all battery packs. Trim was not possible with these design constraints, but now with many users preferring the larger packs we can solve the trim issue if people are OK with a bigger scooter and limiting themselves to 9 and 12 Ah packs

Batteries

The BlackTip is powered by a pair of commonly-found power tool batteries installed directly into the body. This makes the scooter easy to charge and even easier to extend the length of your dive by swapping out batteries on the fly. The BlackTip accepts any 20v (USA only) or 18v DCB-format power tool batteries in the following formats: 5Ah, 6Ah, 9Ah, 12Ah.

Travel

Your Blacktip can be taken on all commercial flights. By utilizing removable and compact power tool batteries, the BlackTip keeps within the TSA’s air travel limits on lithium batteries. This feature, combined with the scooter’s weight of only 24lbs, makes the BlackTip a very travel-friendly and compact option for international divers!

LED Display

The BlackTip features a built-in LED screen that displays speed, battery level, and also a mismatch error in case of battery depletion or voltage inconsistency.
